Priyanka Chopra Deepika Padukone to dance together in Bajirao Mastani

Almost a decade ago, we spotted two top notch actresses, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit dancing to the tunes of 'Dola Re' from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's award winning Devdas, which went down as a cult song and now the filmmaker is all set to repeat history. We will see two divas dancing together in a lavani number in his upcoming magnum opus Bajirao Mastani. While Saroj Khan had choreographed 'Dola Re', Remo D'Souza has been roped in for the ambitious song in Bajirao Mastani that will see both Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra perform. The actresses have been rehearsing for over 10 days for the song, given its challenging choreography. Talking about the song, choreographer Remo says, "Though it is essentially a lavani number, it would not be wrong to call it a mix of folk and classical dance as well. It is never easy to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali as he wants nothing short of perfection. Also, with the costumes, it is never easy to choreograph or perform for the actresses. This one has two actresses so it will require absolute perfection and synchronization". Says director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, "After 12 years, since Devdas, audiences will see 2 contemporary actresses dance together in the same frame. It is a lavani composed folk song and a lot of work has gone into the sets and the picturization of the song. Both Priyanka and Deepika have worked extremely hard on the song and rehearsed long hours for it." The song will be shot over a period of 12 days, with over 50 background dancers on a larger-than-life set. Bang Roy Han
